Abstract
Touch Through Sound modulates contact audio according to touch dynamics and delivers it through a ring-mounted speaker near the fingertip. A six-participant study found that action-contingent synthesis improved action–sound congruency and ring-mounted output improved spatial congruency, with the combination producing the most realistic material impressions.
